Most manufacturers sell primarily through resellers and retail
shops. Those resellers sell hundreds of line items, and may
or may not have personal experience with the the products
they're selling. We began selling FireWire but now offer Serial-ATA (SATA), SCSI-320, 4Gb Fibre, USB and FireWire 800 connectivity and
storage products direct to you, and that's
still our focus. By taking this approach, and relying heavily
on feedback from our customers, we've developed our line of
industry leading products.
FirewireDirect helped bring digital storage and the era of big mass
storage to personal computer users with a number of first
(and even some "the only") of their kind products, often breaking new ground
while bigger companies let us test the market before they
waded in. That experience of being out there learning about
new products, and staying close to our customers, is how we've
developed the most experienced and accessible support model
in our field.
